JUSTICE RAKESH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 02-05-2016 The sole petitioner has invoked the inherent jurisdiction of this court under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure with a prayer to quash an order dated 31.5.2013 whereby the learned Special Judge , Vigilance (Trap) Patna in Special Case No. 36 of 2007 has rejected the petition for discharge. It is the case that petitioner was trapped while demanding and accepting illegal gratification and after investigation charge sheet was submitted. In the case prosecution sanction order was also obtained. After going through the impugned order I do not find any error warranting interference. Keeping in view the fact that trap was laid in the year 2007 and even thereafter till 2013 the case has come to the stage

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.29831 of 2013 (2) dt.02-05-2016 2/2 of only charge while dismissing the present petition it is desirable to observe that the learned Special Judge, Vigilance, Trap, Patna may take appropriate steps so that trial in the case may come to its logical end without unnecessary delay preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The Vigilance Investigation Bureu is also directed to ensure full co-operation to the trial court so that trial may come to its logical end.

Sri Kedar Singh, learned assisting counsel to Sri Rama Kant Sharma, learned Senior Law Officer for the Vigilance Department assures that he will immediately communicate the direction of this court to the Vigilance Investigation Bureau.
