JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 21-07-2022 Though, the present writ petition was initially filed for issuance of caste certificate to the petitioner certifying that the petitioner belongs to Dangi caste under the extremely backward category, however, during the interregnum period, it appears that the Circle Officer, Lahladpur vide order dated 6.3.2021 has rejected the claim of the petitioner for grant of such caste certificate.

Patna High Court CWJC No.185 of 2021(3) dt.21-07-2022 2/2 At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Bihar State Caste Scrutiny Committee, Patna challenging the aforesaid decision of the Circle Officer, Lahlapur, District Saran at Chapra. Liberty so sought is granted It is needless to state that in case appropriate petition is filed within a period of four weeks from today, the Bihar State Caste Scrutiny Committee, Patna shall make endeavour to decide the same preferably within a period of twelve weeks, thereafter.

The present writ petition stands disposed of on the aforesaid terms.
