The petitioner has moved the Court seeking a direction upon the authorities to upgrade the Nagar Panchayat, Daudnagar into Nagar Parishad, Daudnagar.

From the pleadings on record, it appears that the District Magistrate, Aurangabad had made recommendation for such upgradation and the same has been accepted by the State Government and only formalities are to be completed.

In view of the aforesaid, the writ petition stands

Patna High Court CWJC No.3047 of 2017 dt.18-03-2017 2/2 disposed off with a direction to the respondent authorities that the next election shall be held of the upgraded Nagar Parishad, Daudnagar.
