For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of Mandamus for commanding and directing the Arms Licensing Authority, Vaishali to discharge his statutory duty under Arms Act and take final decision on the petitioner's Arms License Application dated 23-07-2021 (License Record No.41/21-22) duly applied in the prescribed format before the District Magistrate, Vaishali on 23. 07-2021 along with prescribed documents but after elapsing of considerable time

The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Vaishali at Hajipur, to dispose off the pending application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license on 23.07.2021, within a stipulated time frame.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid application is still pending, the same would definitely be disposed off within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner in the present writ petition, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Vaishali at Hajipur, to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, for grant of arms license on 23.07.2021, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
