1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Ramkrishna Nagar P.S. Case no.96 of 2024 registered under section 395 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 25(1-B)(a), 26 and 35 of the Arms Act.
3. As per the prosecution case, six accused persons on the point of pistol and knife demanded rangdari from the informant to the tune of Rs.50 lacs, tied him to a chair and looted him of Rs.5 lacs in cash, jewellery worth Rs.7 lacs besides other articles. On hulla being raised, two accused persons namely Sonu Kumar and Deepak Kumar were caught at the place of occurrence.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits in reference to the contents of the petition and the order of the
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35634 of 2025(2) dt.12-06-2025 2/3 learned trial Court that the petitioner was falsely implicated in the case in course of investigation when his name was allegedly taken by the two co-accused who were caught in the statement made before police. No incriminating article was recovered from his possession nor has the petitioner been put on T.I. parade inspite of being in custody since 20.9.2024. Chargesheet has been submitted in the case. It is further submitted that his case stands on a similar footing to that of co-accused Manish Kumar who has been enlarged on bail vide order dated 25.9.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. no.50231 of 2024 (AnnexureP/2).
5. The application for bail is opposed by learned A.P.P. for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the allegations in the FIR, the material that has transpired in course of investigation as is evident from the order of the learned trial Court, grant of bail to co-accused Manish Kumar vide aforesaid order dated 25.9.2024, the petitioner being in custody for over 8 months since 20.9.2024 and chargesheet having been submitted in the case, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Ramkrishna Nagar P.S. Case no.96 of 2024 on furnishing bail
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35634 of 2025(2) dt.12-06-2025 3/3 bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Patna.
