The petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail in a case registered under sections 272, 273, 308 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.
As per the prosecution case, 198 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from a pick-up van and the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the earlier application for bail of the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 23.2.2022 (Annexure-1) passed in Cr. Misc. no.49826 of 2021 giving liberty to the petitioner to renew his prayer for bail on completing one year in custody. The petitioner

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the liberty granted to the petitioner in the earlier order of rejection dated 23.2.2022 and the petitioner having remained in custody for one year, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Jamo Bazar P.S. Case no. 218 of 2020 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned 2nd Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum-Special Jude, Excise Court-2, Siwan.
