The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Excise Case No. 166 of 2020, dated 14.07.2020, instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.

Altogether 77.06 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered and such recovery has been saddled upon

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35919 of 2020(2) dt.22-01-2021 2/2 the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the accusation against him is absolutely wrong.

The petitioner is in custody since 14.07.2020 and has clean antecedents.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner and his period of custody, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned 2nd Addl. Sessions Judge-Cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Gopalganj in connection with Excise Case No. 166 of 2020.
