The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Kateya P. S. Case No. 186 of 2020 dated 19.06.2020, instituted for offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. It appears from the prosecution report that 279 litres of liquor was recovered from the boot of a car in which the petitioner also was travelling.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he was a gratuitous passenger and has

Regard being had to the afore-stated facts, the petitioner, above-named, is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge - II - cum - Special Judge, Excise, Gopalganj, in connection with Kateya P. S. Case No. 186 of 2020.

The petition stands allowed.
