JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 22-07-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That the present writ petition is being filed on behalf of above named petitioner before this Hon'ble Court for issuance of writ of mandamus for directing/commanding the respondent authorities to transfer the Arms Licenses no-LN05154A7A2F918/2/06 of D.D.B.L. Gun from Bettial (West Champaran) to Patna (home town) District."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.8882 of 2024(2) dt.22-07-2024 2/2 seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Patna to pass appropriate orders on the application, filed by the petitioner, on 10.01.2023, for transfer of arms licence from Bettiah, West Champran to Patna.

Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case any application has been filed by the petitioner for transfer of arms licence and the same is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Patna, to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner for transfer of his arms licence, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order in accordance with, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
