JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 13-12-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the counsel appearing on behalf of the State.

Petitioner has filed the instant writ petition for a direction to the respondents to consider his case for compassionate appointment. The father of the petitioner was a clerk in the Jawahar Jyoti High School, Basudhar (Etarhi Block) in the district of Buxar. He died in harness on 16.6.2015. More than two and half years have elapsed but the respondents are sitting tight over the matter and they have not decided as yet the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment.

Patna High Court CWJC No.10109 of 2017 (2) dt.13-12-2017 2/2 The State Government took a policy decision to consider the case of the dependents as a social security reason in order to provide financial support to the family of the deceasedemployee who died in harness but unfortunately even though two and half years, the respondents have not taken final decision on the claim of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment. Under such circumstances, the writ application is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.5 the District Programme Officer (establishment), Buxar to take appropriate steps for final decision in the matter of compassionate appointment of the petitioner expeditiously preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
