JUSTICE RAKESH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 18-10-2017 Heard Sri Vidya Sagar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Ritesh Kumar, learned counsel, who has appeared on behalf of Opp.Party/ Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. The present petition has been filed for initiating contempt proceeding on an allegation of wilful disobedience to an order dated 10.02.2016 passed in C.W.J.C.No.11900 of 2011, by which the writ petition was disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to file fresh representation regarding consideration of his claim for promotion to the post of University Professor before the Registrar of the University i.e. Respondent no.3. In this case, a show cause has been filed on behalf of Opp.Party nos. 1 to 3 and along with show cause, an order passed by the Registrar of the University dated 16.08.2017 has

Patna High Court MJC No.1892 of 2017(2) dt.18-10-2017 2/2 been brought on record as Annexure-A to the show cause. Learned counsel for the University submits that in compliance with the order of the writ court, the representation of the petitioner was considered and a speaking order has been passed. By the said order, it has been indicated that the petitioner would be at liberty to file appropriate application for his promotion to the rank of Professor under M.P.S. Since in compliance with the order of the writ court, the Registrar of the University has passed a speaking order, there is no reason to keep the matter pending.

The petition stands disposed of.
