2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in connection with Srinagar P.S. Case No. 68 of 2024 dated 26.08.2024 registered for the offences punishable u/s 80, 61, 238 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita.
3. As per the prosecution case, the informant Md. Rahamutulla submitted a written report stating that on 24.02.2024 Nikah of his sister Sunthun Nisha was performed with Md. Akhtar and on 24.08.2024 she was at her home in Ufrail and since last 2-3 days her husband was asking her dowry which was informed by her to the informant on mobile and asked him to provide the dowry otherwise she would be killed
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.37273 of 2025(2) dt.24-06-2025 2/3 by her husband. This was informed to informant in the night of 24.08.2024. The informant called her that night and did not receive any answer. The informant stated that his sister's husband Md. Akhtar, Israfil and mother of Md. Akhtar killed his sister by strangulating her with rope. Several mark of injury was found on her body. This incident was informed by her husband Md. Akhtar at about 6:00 am that his sister died. Accordingly the present FIR has been lodged vide Srinagar P.S. Case No. 68 of 2024.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. The petitioner is the mother-in-law of the deceased. There is general and omnibus allegation against the petitioner. There is no allegation of demand of dowry or any type of torture against the petitioner. Nothing has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner. Similarly situated coaccused person has already been granted bail by the co-ordinate bench of this Court vide order dated 12.02.2025 passed in Cr. Misc. No. of 89706 of 2024. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent as stated in para 3 of the bail petition. The petitioner is in custody since 03.02.2025.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.37273 of 2025(2) dt.24-06-2025 3/3 opposed the bail petition of the petitioner.
6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case as well as the period of custody, the petitioner above-named, is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court concerned, in connection with Srinagar P.S. Case No. 68 of 2024.
