The petitioners apprehend their arrest in N.T.P.C. (Kahalgaon) P.S. Case No. 06 of 2016 registered for the offences punishable under Section-386 and other Sections of the Indian Penal Code.

The informant alleged that the petitioners and others armed with weapons came at his office and demanded Rs.2,00,000/- as extortion. While the informant was returning home, petitioners are alleged to have made firing in the night. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are also petty contractor along with the informant and

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.16381 of 2016 (4) dt.14-07-2016 2/2 on account of rivalry the petitioners have falsely been implicated in the case, but it appears that some empty cartridges were recovered from the place of occurrence. The case relates to the demand of extortion.

Considering the aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioners on anticipatory bail and the same is rejected. If the petitioners surrender before the learned Court below then it will consider the prayer for regular bail of the petitioners taking into consideration that Ranjit Singh co-accused, having similar allegation, has already been granted regular bail and dispose of the bail petition of the petitioners preferably on the same day.
