Petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act.
It is alleged that 219.5 quintals rice were recovered from the rice mill of the petitioner.
It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that rice was bonafidely purchased and only on suspicion the accusation has been levelled.
The Court finds substance in the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, but reluctant to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner, since he is accused in 9 other cases.
The anticipatory bail application is disposed of
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.6916 of 2015 (2) dt.20-02-2015 with liberty to the learned court below to consider the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner, if the petitioner surrenders before the learned court below within a period of six weeks from today in connection with Naya Ram Nagar (Safiya Sarai) P.S.
