Setting aside the order as contained in Memo No.-127 dt.-05.05.2024 purported to have been issued by the District Magistrate, Lakhisarai whereby & whereunder the arms license for D.B.B.L. gun License No.(Local)- 11/2021, (License No.-LN05174A7A14517) U.I.N.No.-051740003397382014 of the petitioner has been put into suspension.

ii. Further commanding the respondent

Patna High Court CWJC No.9382 of 2024(2) dt.25-07-2024 2/2 authorities to act and follow with the specific provisions of the Arms Act, 1959 & the Rules as framed."

At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to challenge the aforesaid order dated 05.05.2024, passed by the District Magistrate, Lakhisarai, to the extent, arms license of the petitioner has been suspended, by filing appropriate appeal. Liberty so sought is granted.

3. It is needless to state that in case appropriate appeal is filed by the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from today, the appellate authority shall consider the same on merits and pass a reasoned and a speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, thereafter.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
