The learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to make amendment in the address of the petitioner.

Permission is accorded.

The petitioner has wrongly been stated to be wife of Chandradeep Paswan. She is the daughter of aforesaid Chandradeep Paswan.

The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of her arrest in connection with Civil Lines P.S. Case No. 118 of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35387 of 2020(2) dt.24-03-2021 2/3 2020 instituted for the offences under Section 30 (a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

18 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from a tempo vehicle which stands in the name of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the vehicle in question was purchased by her father under Mukhya Mantri Gram Parivahan Yojna. The recovery even if made from the aforesaid vehicle cannot be saddled on the petitioner as the vehicle was being plied by a driver and two other persons were sitting on the said vehicle at the time of raid.

Considering the afore-stated facts and the gender of the petitioner, she is directed to be released on bail, in the event of her arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt / production of a copy of this order, on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge Excise, Gaya, in connection with Civil Lines P.S. Case
