The petitioner, who is in custody since 25.03.2019, seeks bail in connection with Trial No. 106 of 2020 arising out of Mahila P.S. Case No. 28 of 2018, dated 23.07.2018, instituted for the offences under Sections 376 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

On 06.01.2021, this Court had called for a report

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35070 of 2020(3) dt.05-02-2021 2/2 from the Court below with respect to the stage of the case, which report has since been received and kept at Flag-A to this application.

The report indicates that all the seven prosecution witnesses have been examined and on the date of sending the report, the case was fixed for prosecution argument for 16.01.2021.

Considering the present stage of the trial, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

The prayer for grant of bail is, accordingly, rejected.

However, the Trial Court is directed to conclude the trial finally within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

The application stands dismissed.
