The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of regular bail in a case registered under section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

As per the prosecution case, a parcel was received in the parcel office of the Hajipur Railway Station which on search it transpired that it contains 396 litres of IMFL. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the F.I.R. was registered against unknown. The name of the petitioner transpired in the confessional statement of coaccused Amandip Singh. The bilty contained the telephone number of the said Amandip Singh. The petitioner is in custody since

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.48370 of 2021(2) dt.15-02-2022 2/2 14.4.2021 and subsequent to the instant case the petitioner has been made accused in one another case under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

Heard learned A.P.P. for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the facts of the case, the nature of allegation together with the petitioner having remained in custody for over 10 months, the Court directs the petitioner to be enlarged on bail in connection with Rail Sonepur-Hajipur P.S. Case no. 35 of 2021 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/ (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Jude-II-cum-Excise Court, Vaishali at Hajipur.
