JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 22-03-2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State. The petitioner is in custody in connection with Salimpur P.S. Case No. 77 of 2019 registered for the offences under Sections 302, 394, 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

Considering the criminal antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant privilege of bail to the petitioner at this stage. The prayer for bail stands rejected.

However, the Court below is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at the earliest,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.35960 of 2020(3) dt.22-03-2021 2/2 preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. If the trial is not concluded within the specified period of time, the petitioner may approach this Court to renew his prayer for bail.

With the aforesaid observation, the petition stands rejected.
