JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 27-07-2019 The petitioner is aggrieved by and dissatisfied with the order dated 12.05.2018 passed by the Collector-cum-District Magistrate, Patna in E.C. Appeal No.29 of 2016-17 by which the Collector, Patna has rejected the appeal preferred by the petitioner seeking renewal of the licence under the Bihar Targeted PDS (Control) Order, 2016.

The facts of the case as disclosed in the writ application reveal that the licence of the petitioner was valid upto the year 2014. In terms of the Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2001 and the Bihar Targeted PDS (Control) Order, 2016 the maximum period provided for getting the renewal of the licence is within eight months from the date of expiry of the licence period, but in this case the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.15816 of 2018(3) dt.27-07-2019 2/2 deposited challan for renewal of licence in the month of July, 2016. Since she had failed to get her licence renewed within the maximum statutory period of eight months from the date of expiry of the period of licence, her licence was not renewed. This Court finds no illegality or infirmity in the impugned order passed by the Collector-cum-District Magistrate, Patna.

This writ application has no merit. It is dismissed accordingly.
