====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL ORDER 24-07-2024 Heard Mr. Mirityunjay Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr. Md. Mushtaque Alam, learned APP for the State.

2. The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Cheriyabariyarpur P.S. Case No. 61 of 2024 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 323, 307, 325, 341, 504 and 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. The allegation against the petitioner is of assaulting the informant on her head by means of bamboo causing grievous injury.

4. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and he has committed no offence as alleged. Petitioner has no criminal

5. Learned APP for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner.

6. Considering the fact that allegation against the petitioner is that of causing grievous injury to the informant, I am not inclined the enlarge the petitioner on pre-arrest bail.

7. The petitioner, if so advised, may surrender before the District Court and seek regular bail. The District Court is directed to consider the regular bail of the petitioner, the day he surrenders and pass a reasoned order.

8. The bail application, accordingly, stands disposed of.
