1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State.

2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No. 15 of 2023 registered for the offence under Sections 302, 201, 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is the husband of the deceased and he has killed the deceased.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 22.01.2023 and there is no eye witness to the occurrence. He further submits that the statement of the mother-in-law is there in support of prosecution and there is no other material.

5. Learned A.P.P. has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.

6. I have considered the submissions of the parties.

7. Considering the allegations levelled against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

8. This application for regular bail stands rejected.

9. The Court below is directed to expedite the trial of the petitioner.
