Despite repeated calls, none appears on behalf of the State.

The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in connection with Sitamarhi P.S. Case No.353 of 2007 registered under section 364-A of the Indian Penal Code.

It has been submitted that the case was registered against unknown and in course of investigation no cogent evidence has come as against the petitioner but the investigating officer has submitted chargesheet showing him as absconder. I have perused the case diary. It is true that name of the petitioner transpired in course of investigation after several years but looking at the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to grant him anticipatory bail.
