The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Complaint Case No. 272C of 2018 in which cognizance has been taken under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 138 of the N.I.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.41096 of 2020(9) dt.01-02-2022 2/3 Act.

Earlier, this case was referred to the Patna High Court Mediation and Conciliation Center but the matter could not be resolved.

However, looking at the nature of complaint and the accusation levelled therein, this Court deems it appropriate to direct that if the petitioner deposits Rs. 3,50,000/- by a bank draft in the name of the Registrar of the Civil Court, Jamui and surrenders before the court below within a period of eight weeks, he shall be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate -1st Class, Jamui, in connection with Complaint Case No. 272C of 2018, subject to the condition laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The aforesaid payment shall be under protest and subject to the rights and contentions of the petitioner later.

The amount so deposited shall be invested in an
