The father-in-law and mother-in-law of the victim who was daughter of the informant seek bail in connection with Kurhani P.S. case no. 381 of 2015, registered under Section 304B of the IPC.
On going through the First Information Report, it appears that the victim was married to the son of the petitioners only few years ago. On account of non fulfillment of the demand of money, she was allegedly done to death in the matrimonial home in suspicious circumstance.
Contention of the petitioners is that they are separate
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.21785 of 2016 (2) dt.20-05-2016 2/2 from the husband of the deceased since last several years. The allegation is general and omnibus. The married daughter of the petitioners have since been released on anticipatory bail by this Court.
Mr. Dayal, learned APP, opposed the prayer and submitted that within 07 years of marriage the victim was done to death in the matrimonial home as alleged in the First Information Report. It was definitely an unnatural death of the victim. Considering the seriousness of the allegations, I am not persuaded to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioners. prayer is, accordingly, rejected.
