2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Nigrani P.S. Case No. 12 of 2025 lodged on 19.03.2025 under Section 7 (a) of the Indian Penal Code, pending before the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhagalpur.

3. As per the prosecution, F.I.R. has been lodged against the petitioner, alleging that he was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. He further submits that no money was recovered from the possession of the

It is also submitted that the petitioner is himself a victim in this case, as he had demanded proper documents from the informant, and upon the non-availability of the same, a false case was lodged against him. He further submits that the petitioner has a clean criminal antecedent and has been in custody since 20.03.2025. Furthermore, he submits that the petitioner is ready to comply with all conditions that may be imposed upon him.

Learned counsel for the Vigilance Department vehemently opposes the prayer for bail and submits that, according to the FSL examination report No. 1535 of 2025 dated 15.05.2025, when the petitioner's fingers were dipped in sodium carbonate solution, the solution turned pink (report of hand wash). He further submits that when the Vigilance Investigation Bureau, Patna, went to the Special Central Jail, Bhagalpur, to obtain the petitioner's voice sample for comparison with the voice captured in the recorded conversation, the accused petitioner deliberately refused in writing to provide his voice sample.

6. Learned APP for the State also opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

7. In the present facts and circumstances of this case

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.37242 of 2025(3) dt.06-08-2025 3/3 and the submissions made above, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the bail application of the petitioner is hereby rejected.
