JUSTICE BIBEK CHAUDHURI ORAL ORDER 11-11-2024 The petitioner has invoked the extra-ordinary jurisdiction of Article 226 of the Constitution of India with a prayer for issuance of appropriate writs/directions commanding the respondents to consider and promote him on the post of Reader/Associate Professor w.e.f. 17.08.1995 with all consequential benefits alongwith other incidental reliefs, if any.

2. It is submitted by the learned Advocate on behalf of the respondent No.1-Veer Kuwar Singh University that the petitioner has been regularized w.e.f. 17.08.1985. The University Authority is in active consideration for promotion of the petitioner on the post of Reader/Associate Professor w.e.f.

Patna High Court CWJC No.1205 of 2021(10) dt.11-11-2024 2/2 17.08.1995 and for this purpose the Screening Committee has approved the name of the petitioner for promotion and the same will now be placed before the Selection Committee. If on due selection the petitioner is selected, he would be promoted to the post of Reader/Associate Professor.

3. In view of such circumstances and giving due reliance on the submission made by the learned Advocate on behalf of the University, this Court disposes of the instant writ petition directing the respondent No.1-Veer Kuwar Singh University, Ara to conclude the selection process, within 90 days from the date of communication of this order.

4. With the above order, nothing is left in the instant writ petition and the same is accordingly, disposed of. (Bibek Chaudhuri, J) mdrashid/- U
