25-01-2018 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel representing the State.

The petitioner, in the present case, is seeking a direction to the respondent authorities to investigate Dehri (T) P.S. Case No. 544/2017 instituted under Section 307/120(B) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

The learned court below where the case is pending has power to monitor and supervise the investigation as has been held by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Sakiri Vasu Vs. State of U.P. reported

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.2659 of 2017 (2) dt.25-01-2018 in (2008) 2 SCC 409 which has been followed in the case of Sudhir Bhaskarrao Tambe Vs. Hemant Yashwant Dhage reported in (2016) 6 SCC 277.

In these circumstances, if the petitioner has any complaint with the ongoing investigation, the same may be brought to the notice of the court for consideration. Accordingly, this application stands disposed off.
