In the present application filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners seek quashing of the first information report of Sitamarhi (Mahila) P.S. Case No.27 of 2013 dated 13.11.2013 registered for the offences punishable under sections 341, 323 and 498A read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code as well as sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The allegations made in the first information report do constitute a cognizable offence.
