The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Bousi P.S. Case No. 8 of 2016 registered under Sections 341, 376 and 504 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that from perusal of the FIR itself, it would be apparent that the informant, a major girl, was a consenting party and the instant FIR has been instituted just in order to coerce the petitioner to marry her. It is further submitted that the petitioner has got roots in the society and, if released on bail, he is not likely to abscond or tamper with the evidence. Despite repeated calls, none appears for the State.
