Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the opposite parties submits that payment in terms of the direction of this Court has been made.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has to ascertain from his client whether payment has been made or not?

Since the stand has been taken on affidavit, the Court has reason to believe that the deponent has rightly made that statement.

The Treasury Officer is under obligation to ensure payment of the dues of the petitioner at the earliest. In the event, the statement made in the show-cause is found to be false and payment is not cleared by the Treasury Officer, the petitioner would be at liberty to file application for revival of the present contempt application.
