The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 272 and 273/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 30(a), 36 and 41 of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. It is a case of recovery of about 406.080 liters of illicit liquor from a Tata 407 Truck bearing Reg. No.UP-35T1060 which belongs to the petitioner. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has falsely been implicated in this case. Learned APP appearing for the State has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail.

In view of the facts that the said liquor was

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.48086 of 2021(4) dt.26-04-2022 2/2 recovered from the vehicle of this petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected.
