The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Dighalbank P.S. Case No.195 of 2025 registered for the offence under sections 137(2) and 140(1) of the B.N.S., 2023.

Initially, the F.I.R. was registered against unknown persons under sections 137(2) and 140(1) of the B.N.S., 2023, but subsequently, it has come during investigation that the deceased was the husband of the informant, who used to abuse and assault the informant. One Daras, the brother of the informant, is said to have killed the deceased along with this petitioner, which has come during the self-inculpatory statement of said Daras.

The petitioner is in custody since 29.11.2025.

Considering the nature of allegation levelled against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this bail application is rejected. 6.

It is, however, clarified that the observations made herein are limited to the adjudication of the present bail application and shall not prejudice the case of the petitioner at any subsequent stage of the trial and this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
