The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is inaction on the part of the Central Board of Secondary Education, (CBSE) in the matter of correction of date of birth of the petitioner.
The date of birth of the petitioner is 25.4.2002 but instead thereof in the record of the CBSE, it has been mentioned as 02.01.1998. The petitioner had approached the CBSE for correction of his date of birth but till date no action has been taken. From the birth certificate, Annexure-3 issued by the
Patna High Court CWJC No.13294 of 2019(3) dt.08-07-2019 2/2 competent authority, it is evident that the date of birth of the petitioner is 25th April, 2002.
Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the CBSE to make necessary correction in the date of birth of the petitioner and issue corrected certificate on the basis of date of birth of the petitioner as '25.04.2002". Necessary correction in this regard must be made by the respondent- CBSE within a maximum period of 45 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
