The petitioner claims himself to be the citizen belonging to the lowest strata called 'Mahadalit'. A prayer has been made in this application to direct the authorities to settle a small tract of government land with the petitioner in the light of policy decision of the Government.
Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the application be disposed of permitting the petitioner to make appropriate representation in this regard before the District Magistrate, Darbhanga who may be directed to examine the same and
Patna High Court CWJC No.1004 of 2015 dt.18-02-2015 take appropriate decision thereon in accordance with law. Mr. Shahi, considering the aforesaid submission of the petitioner, has not raised any objection.
The writ application is disposed of permitting the petitioner to make an application in this regard before the respondent District Magistrate who will examine the said claim of the petitioner in accordance with law. Needless to observe that if any such application is filed, the said respondent shall take appropriate decision thereon as quickly as possible preferably within two months of its filing along with a copy of the present order.
