This application, for grant of anticipatory bail, arises out of Special Case No. 44 of 2016, disclosing offences under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 472, 477(A), 409/120B of the Indian Penal Code as well as under Section s 13(2) reading with Section 13(1)(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that there is general and omnibus allegation against this petitioner and no specific overt act is attributed to him. In fact, the petitioner happens to be Registrar of Jai Prakash University, Chhapra was not the sole authority to discharge and distribute the alleged fund. Moreover, several co-accused persons having

No. 33220 of 2017 and Cr. Misc. No. 20206 of 2017. Hence, the petitioner deserves the privilege of anticipatory bail. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the Court below within six weeks, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Vigilance, North Bihar, Muzaffarpur in connection with Special Case No. 44 of 2016 arising out of Vigilance Police Station Case No. 102 of 2016, subject to the condition laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
