JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 14-07-2016 This application under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 has been filed by the petitioner seeking extension of time for surrender granted by this Court vide order dated 19.01.2016 passed in Criminal Misc. No. 2326 of 2016. It is submitted that by the aforesaid order, while granting pre arrest bail to the petitioner, the petitioner was directed to be released in case of arrest or surrender in the court below within six weeks. As the petitioner met with a road accident on 10.02.2016 and sustained fracture injury, he could not surrender before the court below in order to furnish sureties during the stipulated period.

Learned counsel for the State does not oppose the application seeking extension of time in order to surrender before

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.23055 of 2016 (2) dt.14-07-2016 the court below and furnish sureties.

Taking into consideration the submissions advanced at the Bar, the prayer is allowed. The period of six weeks stipulated for surrender in the aforesaid order dated 19.01.2016 passed in Criminal Misc. No. 2326 of 2016 is extended by a further period of two weeks from today. This application is, accordingly, allowed.
