2. The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in connection with Beldaur P.S. Case No. 292 of 2023 for the offence punishable under sections 341, 323, 504, 457, 354B, 506, 509 of the I.P.C. lodged on 19.10.2023 by the informant, Bablu Muni.

3. As per the prosecution story, the informant alleged that in his absence, the petitioner entered his house and tried to rape his daughter. As she screamed, the villagers started coming, the petitioner assaulted the girl and thereafter, left the place. When the villagers scolded him, he in turn threatened and stated that ultimately, he will marry this girl failing which he will kill the people.

4. Though learned counsel for the petitioner tried to

5. Taking into account the aforesaid facts as also the fact that the petitioner who as per the petition, is fifty years old person, tried to outrage the modesty of a girl and later, threatened the villagers also. Certainly, this case is not fit for grant of anticipatory bail which is accordingly rejected.

6. If the petitioner surrenders within four weeks from today and prays for bail, the same may be taken up and disposed of preferably on the same day.
