Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that this case may be disposed of in the term that already the High Court is in seisin of the matter in deciding the issue of inter se seniority between the direct recruits and the promotees. In such view of the matter, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the High Court to decide the inter se seniority in between the direct recruits and promotees within a period of eights weeks and if finally the decision of the High Court goes against the petitioners, they will be at liberty to challenge the same.
