The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a criminal prosecution registered under Sections 376, 366 and some other allied offences under the Indian Penal Code.

Taking into consideration the fact that there is direct allegation of commission of rape against the petitioner in the F.I.R. vide Annexure-1, this Court is not inclined to accede to the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner for grant of anticipatory bail. Accordingly, his prayer for grant of anticipatory bail in connection with Amaur P.S.Case No. 43 of 2014 pending in the court of learned Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, Purnea, is rejected. The petitioner, if so advised, may surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from today and pray for regular bail. If such a petition is filed, the same shall be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced by the present order. (Birendra Prasad Verma, J) Tahir/- U T
