JUSTICE ANJANI KUMAR SHARAN ORAL ORDER 06-04-2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State through virtual court proceeding. Petitioner prays for grant of bail in connection with N.C.B. Case No.24 of 2018 registered for the offence punishable under sections 15, 25 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act, 1985.

Vide order dated 04.03.2021, report regarding stage of trial was called for.

Perused the report at flag 'X' submitted by Learned Additional District and Sessions Judge- 1st, Gaya whereby it has been submitted that charge has been framed in this case on 08.04.2019, prosecution has produced only four witnesses, prosecution evidence is closed on 04.03.2021 on the request of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.1424 of 2021(3) dt.06-04-2021 2/2 Spl. Public Prosecutor, statement of accused u/s 313 Cr. P.C. is recorded on 05.03.2021 and the record kept for defence evidence and record is running on day to day basis for the defence evidence.

Considering the report submitted at Flag 'X', the learned Court below is directed to conclude the trial of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months.

Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.
