The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected vide order dated 16.12.2020 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 33535 of 2020.

The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that five witnesses up till now have been examined.

This Court had called for a report from the court below about the stage of the case. The report indicates that the I.O. of this case is yet to be

Taking into account that the petitioner is in custody since 13.05.2019, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the trial court to positively conclude the trial within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, failing which the petitioner would be at liberty to approach the trial court for grant of bail and in that event, the court below shall be under an obligation to indicate the reasons for the tardy progress of the trial.
