This is a petition for grant of regular bail for offence under Sections 302 and 201/34 of the Indian Penal Code. The victim, Veena Devi, died after ten years of her marriage in her matrimonial house. Allegation is that she was being tortured for non-fulfillment of the dowry demand. Submission of the petitioner is that since presumption of dowry death is not there and the petitioner is a female, she deserves bail in absence of any eye witness of the occurrence. Considering the aforesaid fact, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each in connection with Hathauri P.S. Case No. 89 of 2016 to the satisfaction of Sri Javed Alam, Sub Judge X-cumAdditional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Muzaffarpur, or successor Court.
