2. The petitioners apprehend arrest in connection with Daraundha P.S. Case No. 31 of 2026 registered for offences under Sections 307 of B.N.S., 2023.
3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioners and others demanded extortion money (rangdari) from the informant and when he did not give the same, they returned with another unknown person and on gun-point, they took out Rs. 30,500/- from the pocket of the informant. They also hit near the eye of the informant.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.37867 of 2026(2) dt.16-06-2026 2/3 petitioners are quite innocent and have not committed any offence. Their names have been inserted in this case due to ulterior motive and local rivalry. The petitioners claims clean antecedent. The allegations levelled are general and omnibus in nature. No ingredients of Section 307 of B.N.S. is made out against the petitioners.
5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail.
6. Considering the allegation of demand of extortion (rangdari), I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
7. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.
8. The petitioners are directed to surrender before the court below within a period of two weeks from today and pray for regular bail, failing which the Superintendent of Police, Siwan will take all steps for the arrest of the petitioners.
9. It is made clear that any observation made herein is prima facie in nature and limited solely for the purpose of adjudication of the present bail application. Such observations shall not be construed as an expression on the merits of the case and shall not influence the trial or any other proceedings in any manner.

10. Let a copy of this order be communicated to the Superintendent of Police, Siwan through FAX for its compliance forthwith.
