The writ petition has been filed challenging the order issued by the District Programme Officer dated 06.03.2012 in Case No. 62/11-12 whereby the petitioner's selection as Angan Bari Sevika for Centre No. 29, Panjari, Block Dinara in the District of Rohtas has been cancelled.

The allegation appears to be that the centre in question was inspected and the irregularities were found in distribution of T.H.R in terms of the insufficient number of beneficiaries as also insufficient quantity of T.H.R.

It is submitted by the petitioner that due to increase in the price of 'Dal' the quantity of T.H.R being distributed was correspondingly lesser in respect of the various beneficiaries. Thus, the charges are substantially admitted. He submits that on a very

Patna High Court CWJC No.883 of 2015 dt.02-04-2018 2/2 minor allegation, a harsh punishment i.e., removal from service has been inflicted upon her which is disproportionate to the charge. This Court finds that adequate opportunity has been granted to the petitioner by giving a show cause to her. The District Programme Officer has considered the defence taken by the petitioner and arrived at a finding regarding the discrepancies in distribution of T.H.R on the date of inspection. The order passed by the District Programme Officer has been appealed in Angan Bari Sevika Appeal No. 11 of 2012. The appellate authority i.e., Deputy Director Welfare has considered the petitioner's appeal and disposed off the same by a reasoned and speaking order dated 26.04.2014. This Court dose not find any reason to interfere with the impugned order.

The writ petition is dismissed.
