JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 11-07-2023 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. No one appears on behalf of the Bihar School Examination Board, Patna (hereinafter referred to as the 'Board') (respondent no. 3), although copy of the writ application has been served and the name of learned counsel for the Board is appearing in the cause list.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the son of the petitioner had been selected for admission in Class VI in Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui. It is further stated that his name appeared in the merit list at Serial No. 34 for provisional admission and he was issued a token number bearing 28/23 but later on for no known reason, the son of the petitioner has not

In this regard a notice dated 19.05.2023 (Annexure '9') was also sent to the Principal of the School but the same remained unresponded by the Principal of the School. In the nature of the grievance raised by the petitioner, as it relates to the admission of the petitioner's son in Class VI in Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui, this Court is of the considered opinion that instead of keeping the writ application pending, it would only be just and proper at this stage to direct the Secretary of the Board (respondent no. 3) and the Principal of the School (respondent no. 4) to look into the grievance of the petitioner and take an appropriate view in the matter of admission of the son of the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt/communication of a copy of this order.
