The petitioner wants to renew his prayer of bail, which was earlier rejected vide order dated 18.03.2016 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 56718 of 2015, on the ground that the petitioner is in custody since 22.09.2014 and up-till-now the trial has not been concluded though there was direction to conclude the trial within a period of nine months.
Learned APP opposes the prayer of bail by submitting that altogether 10 witnesses including the doctor of the case has already been examined and the trial is likely to be concluded and the allegation attributed against the petitioner is serious in nature. In the facts and circumstances stated above, finding no good ground for reconsideration of prayer for bail of the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.2156 of 2017 (3) dt.01-03-2017 petitioner, again his prayer for bail stands rejected. However, considering the period of detention, learned trial court is directed to conclude the trial within four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order after taking the same on priority basis, failing which the petitioner, if at no fault, may be at liberty to renew his prayer of bail.
