JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE) Date: 17-08-2017 This petition has been filed in Public Interest and the grievance of the petitioner is that the Bihar School Examination Board (hereinafter referred to as the "Board") has its own website, namely, www.biharboard.ac.in. It is said that previously results of the Board were published in the official website. But now-a-days, when the results are tried to be seen in the official website, the official website
Patna High Court CWJC No.11096 of 2016 dt.17-08-2017 2/2 automatically directs a person to enter the website, namely, "indiaresults.com" and the results are seen in this website, inter alia, containing that the officers of the Board have sold the website of the Board to private company for making profits, which is illegal. A mandamus is sought for directing the Board to publish its results in their own website.
Except for making such bald allegation that the website has been sold the relief claimed for is not based on any statutory or constitutional right of the petitioner. The manner of declaration of results through website are based on policy decision of the Board and in the absence of any statutory rules or regulations being followed in this regard, we see no reason to agitate the matter by the petitionerUnion. This application is dismissed.
