2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Ziradei P.S. Case No. 20 of 2026, registered for the offence under Sections 126, 115(2), 64, 108, 352, 351(2) & 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is accused of committing rape against the informant's daughter. Consequently, the victim committed suicide as a result of the petitioner's illegal acts.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is quite innocent and has not committed any offence. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner was not involved in the so called occurrence, neither he had abated the deceased for

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail and submits that it is a case of rape which drove the victim to commit suicide, and therefore, the petitioner should not be granted bail.

6. Considering the gravity of the offence, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this application is dismissed.

8. It is made clear that any observation made herein is prima facie in nature and limited solely for the purpose of adjudication of the present bail application. Such observations shall not be construed as an expression on the merits of the case and shall not influence the trial or any other proceedings in any manner.
