JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD) 15-07-2026 Heard Mr. Satyabir Bharti, learned senior counsel for the petitioner, learned AC to AG for the State as also Mr. Pramod Kumar, learned Advocate who is representing Mr. Anurag Jaiswal (Respondent No.8). He has undertaken to file vakalatnama, therefore, we have heard him.

2. This matter was taken up for consideration on 13th

2/4 of July, 2026. This Court passed the following order on 13.07.2026:- "Let this matter be listed day after tomorrow i.e. on 15.07.2026 under the same heading maintaining its position.

2. In today's hearing, it has transpired that the corpus was recovered at Surat. One Anurag Jaiswal was arrested and both of them were taken to the Judicial Magistrate where transit remand of the accused Anurag Jaiswal was given to Bihar Police but the corpus fell down outside the court's chamber, became unconscious whereafter she was taken to New Civil Hospital with a lady constable and a relative of the corpus, namely, Rahul Jaiswal. Thereafter, the lady constable informed the Sub-Inspector of Police, Chotelal Singh that the corpus and said Rahul Jaiswal have fled away from the hospital by duping the police.

The I.O. is present in person in the Court.

3. Mr. Pramod Kumar, learned Advocate has entered appearance on behalf of Anurag Jaiswal who is presently in judicial custody. Let Anurag Jaiswal, son of Ramesh Jaiswal, resident of Harijan ki Gali, Sabri Mahariya, PS & District- Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh be added as party respondent no. 8 in course of the day.

4. Mr. Pramod Kumar, learned Advocate (Enrollment No. 2220 of 1999) undertakes to file vakalatnama by tomorrow. It is stated that Anurag Jaiswal has filed Cr. Misc. No. 28003 of 2026 which is pending consideration before a learned Single Judge of this Court. As and when the matter is taken up in the said Court,

3/4 learned counsel shall be obliged to inform the Court about the pendency of the present writ application and the fact that the corpus is still missing.

3. In today's hearing, Mr. Pramod Kumar, learned Advocate informed this Court that he had a talk with the corpus yesterday, she was apprehending honor killing if she comes to Patna. This Court was given the contact number of the devar of the corpus and was informed that she is ready to be present and interact with the Court through online mode. She is presently living in her sasural family with her devar and mother-in-law and she is safe in their company.

On the basis of the information furnished to this Court and the mobile number of Mr. Anuj Jaiswal (devar of the corpus), this Court directed the Bench Officer to connect with the corpus and the other members of the family of Mr. Anurag Jaiswal. In the online interaction with the corpus, she informed this Court that she is adult and she has married Anurag Jaiswal on her own sweet will and volition. She also informed this Court that she was living in her sasural with her devar and mother-inlaw. Along with the corpus, one Mr. Rajeev Krishna, Advocate said to have been practicing in Civil Court, Mirzapur is also present online.

5. The mother of the corpus who is the petitioner of this case was also given an opportunity to interact with the corpus through the online mode in the Courtroom itself. Both of them have some complaints against each other.

6. Be that as it may, this Court finds that in this case, the remedy applied for is fully misconceived and misdirected. In normal course, this Court would have imposed some cost upon the petitioner but finding that she is emotionally broken and being a mother, perhaps, she was unable to reconcile herself and considering her conditions, this Court is not imposing any cost.

7. This writ application stands dismissed.
